Join us for a rejuvenating and inclusive chair yoga class brought to you by Hoag Library. Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be practiced by individuals of all ages and abilities, providing a safe and supportive environment for everyone to enjoy the benefits of yoga practice.
This class promotes adaptability by using a chair as a prop to assist with balance and support during the practice, making it accessible for all participants. Our aim is to create a welcoming and inclusive space where everyone can feel comfortable and supported in their practice.
During the class, we will focus on various aspects of yoga practice, including breath work to help calm the mind and deepen our connection to our bodies, meditation to enhance mindfulness and promote inner peace, grounding techniques to center ourselves in the present moment, standing poses with the support of a chair to improve strength, flexibility, and balance, and a soothing cool down relaxation at the end of the class to help release tension and promote deep relaxation.
Please remember to bring a water bottle and wear clothing that allows you to move freely and comfortably. Come join us for this FREE chair yoga class and experience the joy of yoga in a supportive and inclusive environment.
